I was born on the 7th of May. Each year it is a very wonderful day for me! My family holds birthday party for me. I invite my friends, my mother bakes a birthday cake and my father goes shopping and buys sweets, chips, fruits, lemonade and other products. By the evening food is cooked, the table is laid.
The party starts when my guests come. We have much fun during the party: play, dance, sing, eat cake and drink lemonade. Everybody sing “Happy Birthday” and give me presents. On my last birthday, my parents presented me the biggest collection of Lego. It was the best gift in my life! None of my friends has such big Lego collection.

My Favourite Holiday
My name is Katherine, I’m fifteen years old. My favourite holiday is my birthday. On this day I get up early, but by that time my mother already cooks food for a festive table in the kitchen. In the morning my family and friends begin to give presents and congratulate me. My parents and younger brother always want me to remember this day for a long time that’s why they decorate the flat with many-coloured little balls.
On this day a lot of my friends and relations usually come to see me. When we all get together we sit down to table and begin to celebrate my birthday. Everybody has a good time dances and communicates with each other, the music plays loudly. At the end of the holiday we turn off the lights and my father brings a big cake with candles. I must blow out the candles and make a wish. After that we have tea with a cake and then we dismiss the guests.
I would like to celebrate my birthday every month because all our relations and friends can meet together on this day. I grow up every year but my birthday always remains the most unforgettable holiday of the year.

Holidays are important to people. We all like holidays as they give us the opportunity to have a little rest and get positive emotions. But Birthday is a special day for each of us. This day brings to mind thoughts about the age, healthy, achieved results, happiness and many other things. For this reason, many people do not like celebrating their birthdays. And I think this is a very sad fact.
As for me, birthday is a very important day in my life. I was born in a hot summer day, on the twentieth of June. Maybe because of this I like the sun, summer and my birthday. Summer weather makes it is possible to celebrate holiday outdoors. Usually I hold my birthday party on the countryside, at summer house, in the forest or by the lake, for example.
My friends and I love nature, and we can even set up camp for several days. During the rest we play sport games, go swimming or fishing. In the evening of my birthday we make fire and cook a festive dinner. My friends congratulate me, say good wishes and present different things, which I need. Besides every year they create some an unusual surprise for me.
So, my friends do not let me get bored, and my age is not important. Every birthday is unforgettable party for me, that is why I just cannot love this day.

Что касается меня, то день рождения – это очень важный день в моей жизни. Я родился жарким летним днем, двадцатого июня. Может быть именно по этой причине я люблю солнце, лето и свой день рождения. Летняя погода делает возможным проведение праздничного торжества на природе. Обычно я устраиваю празднование дня рождения загородом, например, на даче, в лесу или у озера. Мне и моим друзьям нравится природа, так что мы можем даже разбить лагерь на несколько дней. За время отдыха мы играем в спортивные игры, ходим купаться или рыбачить. Вечером в день моего рождения мы разводим костер и готовим праздничный ужин. Мои друзья поздравляют меня, высказывают добрые пожелания и дарят разные вещи, которые мне нужны. Кроме того, каждый год они придумывают что-нибудь необычное и устраивают мне сюрприз.
Так что, мои друзья не дают мне заскучать, и мой возраст здесь совсем не важен. Каждый день рождения для меня связан с незабываемым празднованием, вот почему я просто не могу не любить этот день.
